Sunday 27th June 2010 mostly people like 2 rest and wakeup late,I decided to go for trek. Trek was organize by YHAI GOREGOAN UNIT AT KARNALA FORT our reporting time was 6.45am at Kurla Harbour platform number 7 . We caught Panvel train. We had break fast and catch tum tum rickshaw to reach at the base of fort. Fort is 8 kms from Panvel ST- bus stand. Karnala fort is surrounded by bird sanctuary. Bird sanctuary is under forest surveillance. We need to declare the number plastic things we carry. Its great step to save environment. We had small introduction session about YHAI GOREGOAN UNIT and Self introduction to the other members. We had count of 33 heads.

We started trek with little cloudy weather and it was same throughout the climb. After reaching top weather change it was heavenly with soothing wind and rain drops. On top we can see 360 view of surrounding beautiful landscapes until naked eyes reach. We rested had share lunch and group photo. Finally we started deciding the fort. If we look over the history the fort had played an important role at time SHIVAJI MAHARAJ ruling over Maharashtra. Every fort has its own history its better to read before going to trek . Jai Hind Jai Maharashtra.

Royal Bengal Tiger at Bandhavgarh National Park ( MP)

Bandhavgarh National Park is one of the wild life sanctuaries in the Indian state Madhya Pradesh. The national park is situated at 197 km away north-east of Jabalpur. This wild life park derived its very name from an ancient fort in the area. Bandhavgarh National Park belongs to the Vindhyan mountain ranges of central India and it boasts to have the highest density of tiger population in the country. Now there are about 46 to 52 tigers one can spot here.Best time to visit park in month of May, June. Park remains close from July to September for there breeding.

Travelling to Bhandhavgarh is little bit unhygienic as there r less trains. Nearest station Katni 100kms from Bandhavgarh National Park. Accomodation can be easily arrange as the park area is surrounded by Resorts. Resorts can be choosen according to your budget. Resort themself provides you the safari in park. Park timings are 6 to 9.30 in morning and 4 to 6.30 in evening.

At entrance of park we r provided guide by the park people and specific route & area to track down the Tigers. If u r lucky u may get clever guide which can really help out to track down tiger. After 30-45 mins search, sums of groups spot the tiger and this news is spread like fire from one jeep to another. All rush towards that spot and fight for a good place to park the jeep and take photographs.
When i saw it was really amazing & beautiful to see a Royal Bengal Tiger in his natural habitat. One thing is that u have very less time, so better to keep ur camera settings ready in burst mode with telephoto lens.

At end of my trip i visited to Bhandhavgarh Fort which in middle of the park. For visit to fort we need to pay seperately. As there is nothing to see much, vulture point, fort & temple which is not maintain properly. But still if u r lucky u may encounter with tiger. Once in a life try to visit Bhandhavgarh & try to save this animal.
